Run Matsuo Nobori

One thing I’m adamant about is not turning this blog into a shill for my web-shop. There’s a link at the top, but you’re not going to see me make endless posts announcing new products. However, I’m willing to make an exception when that “product” is blog specific, like this nobori.

I’ve been wanting to make a flag for the blog for a while, and I’m happy with how this turned out. My only qualm is how dark the background image turned out. It’s actually a picture I took at the Matsuo touge when I revisited it back in 3013. It’s a shot of the sign at the top of the course where we’d turn around at and come back down.

The kanji 松尾峠職人 reads Matsuo Touge Shokunin which literally means “Matsuo Touge Craftsman”. It could also be read more colloquially as “Matsuo Mountain Passer”. The old Initial-D comic books used 最強の峠職人 all the time, which translates as “Strongest Mountain Passer”.

With that being said, if you’ve gotten to this point you’re a blog reader and only you get to see a special discount code to get 50% off the blog flag. Click here to see it in the web-shop and use discount code “BLOGFLAG” at checkout to apply the discount. Along with the flag you’ll also get a bunch of sticker…
